Eagley looks to the future as trainee toolmakers come on board

Eagley Plastics has appointed two new trainee toolmakers to its team at the company’s headquarters in Chinley, High Peak.

Niall (22) and Tom (26) have both joined the company and are now gaining valuable knowledge from the existing team that boasts over 100 years’ experience. Niall is currently studying Engineering at Chesterfield University while Tom is already a fully qualified tool maker.

These new appointments are part of the company’s succession planning strategy to ensure that the extensive knowledge in the business is passed down to the younger generation.

Jason Beckett, General Manager at Eagley Plastics, comments: “Niall and Tom are both valuable additions to the team and have settled in really well. Both are showing a high degree of professionalism and talent and in addition to them learning from us, we can learn from them, especially when it comes to new technologies. They have a vital role to play in the future of the company as design, production and handling of tooling are fundamental to the extrusion process and ultimately the quality of products manufactured for our customers.”
